I want to express my deepest sympathies to Leo, Malcolm, Nancy and Mary Lou. Starr was such a wonderful lady. She and my mother, Liz Williams, were such close friends and we all shared being P.E.O Sisters. Growing up, I remember going to Silver Slipper ( Malcolm you may remember this) and having no father, I think Starr suggested that your father Howard fill in as our (mine and my sister, Brisby) father, since we had to dance with a parent at that special dance. I have never forgotten their kindness that night. Starr and mother were so close and I remember all the meetings at Chapter X PEO that , Starr was so loving and kind to all the sisters. I was indicated at such a young age(19) and she made me feel so welcome. I also remember visiting her at her home and taking my daughter Kristine, too. Starr wasn't seeing too well by then but she still tried to make us both feel right at home. I feel so Blessed to have known such a wonderful lady. She will truly be missed by alot of people. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am unable to attend the service tomorrow because I am battling a terrible cold. Sincerely yours, Whitney Baker
