Obituary of Richard Galliart

Richard E. Galliart, Sr., age 79, died on April 18, 2016 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on February 8, 1937 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Frederick and Rachel Heintz Galliart. He was a lifetime member of the Garden City Community, and a member of the Eagles Lodge. Richard worked as an auto body repair man and a mechanic. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. In 1957 he married Melvina Walck, to this marriage five children were born. in 1989 he married Debbie Armbruster, to this marriage one daughter was born. He is survived by: Two Sons Rick and Sarah Galliart of Garden City, Kansas Jimmy and Jodi Galliart of Garden City, Kansas Three Daughters Carol and Gary Nuzum of Charleston, Kansas Kelly and Tom Beavers of Pierceville, Kansas Samantha Galliart of Wichita, Kansas Life Partner Debbie Galliart One Brother Wilbur and Marlena Galliart of Hutchinson, Kansas Three Sisters Mary Ann Ricketts of Sublette, Kansas Lorene Quint of Garden City, Kansas Shirley Nuzum of Garden City, Kansas One Brother In Law Charles Key of Sublette, Kansas Twelve Grandchildren, eight Great-Grandchildren, Two Great Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, one daughter, Christine, and three sisters, Wilma, Rebecca, and Ruth. Funeral Services will be held at Price and Sons Funeral Home of Garden City on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, 10:00-8:00 on Thursday, and from 10:00 till the service hour on Friday at Price and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Kidney Foundation in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846. Interment will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas immediately following the funeral service.
