Obituary of Douglas Keith Miller

Douglas Keith Miller, age 65, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born November 3, 1949 in Stafford, Kansas the son of Maynard K. and Ruth Elaine DeBusk Miller. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. A resident of Holcomb since 1959, he had been a welder and one of the irrigation pump crew for The Garden City Company for 34 years. He was a member of the Bible Christian Church of Garden City, Kansas. On August 4, 1973 he married Gayle Trent in Dodge City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Son, Jason D. Miller of Holcomb, Kansas; One Daughter, Nikki Miller of Holcomb, Kansas; One Sister, Beverly (& James) Coen of Wichita, Kansas and Two Grandchildren, Alexandra Gillespie of Holcomb, Kansas and Austyn Clark of Holcomb, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlotte Berry. Memorial services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Bible Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas. Burial will take place at a later date. There will be no calling times. Memorials may be given to the church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
