Bette, Calvin & Family: My sincere condolences and prayers to you on your loss of this great man. I am so thankful I had the chance to meet him and drive your beautiful ranch with my kids Luke and Mary. I was hoping and planning to get out and do it again when Rich Reading at the Denver Zoo told me about Larry's illness. As a conservationist and someone who has seen the vitriol against prairie dogs, wolves and other wildlife, I know that Larry exemplified as much courage on the battlefield of doing what was right for God's creatures as anyone ever has on any battlefield of any war. I'm sure you are proud of him for this and all the other accomplishments in his life. I do hope you carry on his conservation work/fight and I am making a $100.00 contribution to Audubon of Kansas in Larry's name. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers will be there. Best wishes and I do hope to see you again Bette, and meet you Calvin. Matt Bergles Denver

Sorry to learn of the passing of Larry. Cancer is a difficult battle and I pray that someday it is one that can be conquered. Bette be sure to stay busy in the coming days in an effort to adjust. There was only "ONE Larry" and he will be missed. My sympathy and prayers are with you all. Naomi Ward
