Obituary of Juanita Brown

Juanita F. Brown, age 92, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti, Kansas. Juanita was born July 3, 1921 in Selkirk, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob A. & Mertie Belle Vincent Reimer. Returning to Wichita County, Kansas following her retirement in 1993, she was an educator, earning her Masters degree in Education from McPherson College. She taught special education in Lincoln, McPherson, Manhattan and Wellington, Kansas. Juanita was a member of the West Bethany Free Methodist Church in rural Wichita County, Kansas. On December 12, 1944 she married Elvin Brown at Waurika, Oklahoma. Juanita's surviving family includes- Her Husband- Elvin Brown- Leoti, Kansas Two Children- Teresa Resche- Willmington, Delaware Allen Brown- Willmington, Delaware One Brother- Wayne Reimer- Topeka, Kansas Her parents, and eleven brothers and sisters precede her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at West Bethany Free Methodist Church in northwest rural Wichita County, Kansas with the Reverend Bruce Liesy officiating. Burial will be in West Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to West Bethany Free Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
