Interesting story is that when Elvin was in the military, wives were not to go with them. So Juanita and three other
wives sneaked on the train car next to the one with the military men. A conductor protected them. They got
apartments in California.
Elvin, I am so sorry that you have lost your best friend. May God comfort you as no person can. I'm glad you celebrated 70 years of marriage. Juanita gave you many memories to cherish. I enjoyed all the stories she had to tell. She will be missed by me. I still have the "pop corn" bowls. Love, Cousin Carolyn
I am sorry to read about the passing of Juanita. My mother was Veneta Reimer Brothers and my grandparents were L.B. & Pearl Reimer of Sterling. Even though Juanita was my mothers aunt she was one day younger than my mother.
