Our first year in the cow/calf business was in 2006. We were rookies and it snowed from Christmas 2006 and all through to March. We were calving and had a calf in a horrible blow. When we found it, there was still some life there. After trying everything we knew, I called Hilton to see if there was anything else to try. He reassured me we had done all we could. We lost the calf, but the next day he cared enough to call and see how things had turned out. With all he had going on with his own operation, he took the time to call and check. This is just one of the many examples of what a wonderful, caring person Hilton was. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
