John Goff posted a condolence

One of the things we used to do on hot weekends was get in Konrad's Mom's old Ford truck with a box full of water balloons and "cruise the Main Strip" and carry on a mini Balloon war. Great times. Konrad was very fun loving and a Great friend in my youth. We would also make "Road trips" in his '64 Plymouth Fury to Hays, to "Check out" the college Girls.

Bonita Hocker Bruton posted a condolence
Wednesday, April 10, 2013
Konrad Martin's early years were filled with loving care by his extended family - his Hocker grandparents, aunts (of whom I am the last remaining), and lots of cousins, who included those in the Bruton, Walts and Radcliffe families in and around Hill City, Kansas. Many of Konrad's cousins were in school with him, and he enjoyed numerous good, close friends as well throughout his school years in Hill City and well beyond in his adult life. I know that all of us loved him dearly and will miss him. As he was growing up, Konrad loved the old Hocker farm outside of Hill City, and he spent many summers and weekends with us. While I was raising my own children, I was also there to enjoy Konrad as a youngster and help my parents and my sister Hope (his mother) make his life as joyful as possible. There are just too many stories to tell, both happy and sad, when I think about it all. At least too many to tell here. I just want everyone to know that I believe Konrad to be in a better place, and I will always remember him as fondly as if he were one of my own children. My times with him, and my love for him, will never be forgotten. -Aunt Bon
