Marienthal, Kansas Carrie ClaraBelle Wilson, age 100, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at her home in rural Wichita County, Kansas. ClaraBelle was born August 20, 1908 in Wichita County, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Elmer & Hattie Elva Carson Smith. She was a homemaker & had been a lifetime resident of Wichita County, Kansas. She was the oldest surviving alumnus of Wichita County High School, graduating in 1926. She was a member of the Awesome Mothers Club. On July 23, 1927 she married Hallie E. Wilson at Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on March 8, 1990 in Wichita, Kansas. ClaraBelle's surviving family includes Four sons and their wives- Everett & Wanda Wilson- Plains, Montana Marvin & DeLora Wilson- Fruita, Colorado Melvin & Cheryl Wilson- Marienthal, Kansas Donald & Kayla Wilson- Phillipsburg, Kansas Six daughters and their husbands- Marlene & Frank Riley- Wichita, Kansas Alice Allen- Leon, Kansas Vona & Raymond Ross- Augusta, Kansas Mildred & Jack Burch- Marienthal, Kansas Lois & Jerry Keller- Ellis, Kansas Marilyn & Jim Maley- Phillipsburg, Kansas Thirty-six grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren & thirty-nine great great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas with the Reverends Dennis Carter and Paul McNall officiating. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
