Ila M. Whitson, age 89, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. She was born on February 19, 1918 in Lane County, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas J. and Edna M. Stone Shull. A resident of Lane County, Kansas until 1941 when she moved to Scott County, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
Memberships include: First United Methodist Church Scott City, Kansas United Methodist Women Scott City, Kansas Charter Member of the So and Sew Club Scott City, Kansas Scott County VIP Center Scott City, Kansas Past Member of Rebekah Lodge Scott City, Kansas
On August 24, 1941 she married Lowell W. Whitson in Syracuse, Kansas. He passed away on September 21, 1971 in Scott County, Kansas.
Survivors: One Son Don & Sally Whitson Salina, Kansas One Daughter Lois & Charlie Modlin Scott City, Kansas One Sister Geraldine Graves Scott City, Kansas Two Grandsons Ted Whitson & Family Pratt, Kansas Mark Whitson & Family Bountiful, Utah One Granddaughter Jill Clark & Family Paola, Kansas
Nine Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Two Brothers and One Sister.
