LEOTI, KANSAS
RAMONA "MALEE" VAN NORDEN, AGE 79, PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2005 AT WICHITA COUNTY HEALTH CENTER IN LEOTI, KANSAS. SHE WAS BORN ON JANUARY 1, 1926 AT CIMARRON, KANSAS, THE DAUGHTER OF JESS H. AND KATHERINE "KATIE" P. BOEHS KOEHN. A RESIDENT OF LEOTI SINCE 1961 MOVING FROM CIMARRON, KANSAS SHE WAS A RETIRED LAW OFFICE SECRETARY.
SHE ATTENDED THE CHRIST COVENANT CHURCH IN LEOTI, KANSAS. SHE WORKED MANY YEARS TEACHING SUNDAY SCHOOL FROM THE YOUNGEST CHILDREN TO THE YOUNG ADULT CLASS @ VARIOUS CHURCHES IN CIMARRON AND LEOTI, KANSAS. HER GOAL WAS ALWAYS TO LEAD AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO BELIEVE IN AND LOVE THE LORD AS MUCH AS SHE DID. SHE BROUGHT MANY PEOPLE TO THE LORD, OLD AND YOUNG, INCLUDING HER OWN FAMILY. HER WORK IN THE CHURCH WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.
ON DECEMBER 13, 1945 SHE MARRIED BOB VAN NORDEN AT NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA. HE SURVIVES.
OTHER SURVIVORS INCLUDE 3 SONS STEPHEN VAN NORDEN WICHITA, KANSAS RANDEL VAN NORDEN LEOTI, KANSAS RODNEY VAN NORDEN GARDEN CITY, KANSAS 1 DAUGHTER JANELLE JONES LEOTI, KANSAS 3 BROTHERS HAROLD KOEHN LaMIRADA, CALIFORNIA FLOYD KOEHN CIMARRON, KANSAS MAX KOEHN OCEANSIDE, CA 5 SISTERS SHIRLEY KOEHN CIMARRON, KANSAS BOBETTA SPEER DODGE CITY, KANSAS JESSIE SPEER CIMARRON, KANSAS JEANETTE MONROE TOPEKA, KANSAS DIXIE HERTEL TOPEKA, KANSAS 7 GRANDCHILDREN, 11 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
SHE WAS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY A BROTHER, JACK AND 2 SISTERS, JOSIE KOEHN & LAVONE KOEHN
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 A.M. TUESDAY, SEPT. 6, 2005 AT THE CHRIST COVENANT CHURCH IN LEOTI, KS WITH THE REV. BOB EVEREST OFFICIATING.
INTERMENT SERVICES WILL BE HELD @ 3:30PM ON TUESDAY AT THE CIMARRON CEMETERY IN CIMARRON, KANSAS.
FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 3:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M. SUNDAY AND 9:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M. MONDAY THE AT PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME IN LEOTI, KANSAS.
MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO THE CHRIST COVENANT CHURCH OR THE WICHITA COUNTY HOSPITAL BOTH IN CARE OF PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME OF LEOTI OR GARDEN CITY, KANSAS.
