MARY E. THON, AGE 56, PASSED AWAY AT HER HOME IN GREELEY COUNTY, KANSAS ON, SUNDAY, JANUARY 7, 2007. MARY WAS BORN JANUARY 23, 1950 IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS, THE DAUGHTER OF HANS HENRY & MELVA GAY ROZEAN HAMANN. SHE WAS A HOMEMAKER AND A PARTNER IN RON'S OIL COMPANY AND HAD BEEN A LIFETIME GREELEY COUNTY RESIDENT. MARY WAS A MEMBER OF ST. PAULS LUTHERN CHURCH, FORMERLY OF TRIBUNE, KANSAS. SHE WAS ALSO A VOLUNTEER FOR HAIR CARE AT THE GREELEY COUNTY LONG TERM CARE UNIT, A MEMBER OF THE TRIBUNE P.R.I.D.E. COMMITTEE, A FORMER CITY COUNCILWOMAN, A FORMER BOY SCOUT LEADER, THE DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION COMMITTEE, FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY AND THE BOOK CLUB ALL OF TRIBUNE, KANSAS. ON NOVEMBER 17, 1978 SHE MARRIED MICHAEL A. THON AT TRIBUNE, KANSAS. HE SURVIVES. MARY'S OTHER SURVIVING FAMILY MEMBERS INCLUDE- THREE SONS CHAD LYTLE- FRISCO, TEXAS JOEL LYTLE- ARLINGTON, TEXAS DREW THON- GARDEN CITY, KANSAS ONE DAUGHTER- ALISON THON- TRIBUNE, KANSAS HER MOTHER MELVA G. HAMANN- TRIBUNE, KANSAS TWO BROTHERS- FRED HAMANN- HOLIDAY ISLAND, ARKANSAS BILL HAMANN- TRIBUNE, KANSAS TWO SISTERS- JOY SAWYER- TRIBUNE, KANSAS DOROTHEA BENNETT- TUSCON, ARIZONA FOUR GRANDCHILDREN SHE WAS PREDEDED IN DEATH BY HER FATHER, HANS H. HAMANN, AND ONE BROTHER, HANS K. HAMANN. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 A. M. (M.D.T.) FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2007 AT THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS WITH THE REVEREND LES ELLIS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN GREELEY COUNTY CEMETERY, TRIBUNE, KANSAS. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 3:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY AND FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M. THURSDAY AT PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS. MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO THE MARILYN KLEIN MEMORIAL FOUNDATION, THE TRIBUNE P.R.I.D.E. COMMITTEE OR THE TRIBUNE DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION FUND IN CARE OF THE FUNERAL HOME.
