Scott City Evelyn M. Strickler, age 82, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on December 29, 1924 in Orion, Kansas, the daughter of James A. and Garnett Johnson Stevenson. She graduated from Emporia High School and attended Brown Mackey College in Salina, Kansas. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1946, she worked for Kansas Nebraska Gas Company as a bookkeeper & cashier and she was a homemaker. Memberships Include: First United Methodist Church Scott City, Kansas UMW Circle Scott City, Kansas EHU Scott City, Kansas On March 3, 1946 she married Joseph H. Strickler in Emporia, Kansas.
