I remember Claude "Running Bear" Blair from the time I was working as police dispatcher for the Scott City police around 1975. There was a shooting incident at the state park and Mr. Blair helped evacuate the beseiged family. I would like to express my condolences to his bereaved family and friends. He was a good citizen, and will be sorely missed.
Bob and Karen, I just read the Kansas Wildlife and Parks newsletter and read of Claude's passing. I sure thought a lot of Claude as he kind of took me under his wing when I first started as a green horn biologist at Scott City. He was so much fun to patrol with and taught me lots about law enforcement and about the Scott City area. My condolences to both of you and your family. Sincerely, Jerome Hansen
Bob, Charlene, Marlene and your extended families our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He was such a dynamic man and I am sure any one who ever met him remembered him, even if it was for the cigar. . . I have such wonderful memories of growing up with your family, whether in Oakley, Scott City or Hays. Those memories are precious and will be cherished forever. Time and your memories will make it easier. Love you bunches, Cheryl & Jim
I just want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Claude will be deeply missed by all of us. We have some fond memories of him. Howard, Jan and Wyatt Green
