Richard T. Bishop, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at his home in Pharr, Texas. He was born on November 12, 1917 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Thomas James and Glayds Sughart Bishop. A resident of Scott City, Kansas from 1917 until 1984 moving to Texas, he was the Founder and Owner of Bishop Wholesale and Vending until his retirement. Richard was a Army Staff Sergeant of WWII.
Membership: First Christian Church Scott City, Kansas Scott City Lions Club Scott City, Kansas Served on the board of Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas.
On September 5, 1941 he married Lela Maxine Barnett in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors: Wife Lela M. Bishop Pharr, Texas Two Sons Harry Bishop Goodland, Kansas Dean Bishop Guymon, Oklahoma Two Daughters Karalea Bishop Leoti, Kansas Deandra Bishop Seattle, Washington Two Sisters Margaret Mott Batavia, Illinois Martha Lee McNaught Parrish, Florida
Fourteen Grandchildren Twenty One Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Two Brothers and One Grandchild.
