Uncle Bud will NEVER be forgotten. I usually only see him twice a year & it just won't be the same anymore. My prayers are with everyone during this sad time. Just remember that he would want us all to be smiling, laughing and enjoying life as he did. Love to all!!!

I remember when we lived in Michigan and came back for visits and the Rowton's living next door to Uncle Albert. We played as small kids then and we moved to Scott City. Bud was always smiling as he was moving 100 mph all the time with a red rag hanging out of his pocket. Oh how us baby boomers wish we had service like Bud use to give and we didn't have to try and get the credit card machines to work at the gas stations now and have to clean our own windshields. Neighbors to Emil's for years too and men who worked so hard not understanding a 40 hr week. He will be missed, but you have as the community and friends so many memories to cherish. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Randy and Della

Susan & family, wanted you to know that you are all in our prayers. As so many people have already written, Bud was a gentle and friendly man. I loved going to the station. He was always so nice and made you feel special. I played ball for Marcy's so there was that healthy rivalry there, but with the competion was also respect for both Bud & Mr. Marcy. Knowing he is at peace & you will be able to be with him again one day is a comfort. Scott City has wonderful memories for me & the Rowten family are part of those memories.

My condolences to the family. One of my fondest memories of growing up in Scott City is of going to the Vickers station and the genuine care Bud had for everyone he met. Bud was truly a gentle and kind man. He will be missed.

Jean, Chuck, Betty, Susan, Becky and families: What fond memories I have of Bud - at the Vicker's station when we'd stop by there and all the times at your house when we hung out - he always made me laugh. What a dear, kind man and hope you all know how much he was admired and loved! My deepest sympathies - I hope the sweetest of memories bring you warmth at this time of sorrow!

When you hear someone say " you just don`t see any of that good service anymore" The first person that I think of is Bud Rowton. Ask anyone and they will tell you that he was the best! Scott City lost a long time friend and god has gained a very important one. I love you all! Pix
