Lewis C. Rose, age 70, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born March 1, 1941 in Scott County, Kansas, the son of Fawn William and Dorothy Katherine Strickert Rose. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a farmer. Memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas, First Christian Church Deacon of Scott City, Kansas, Pheasants Forever of Scott City, Kansas, Lake Scott Car Club of Scott City, Shallow Water All School Reunion Chairman. On March 24, 1962 he married Carol Cunningham in Concordia, Kansas. She survives. Survivors include his Wife - Carol Rose of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Stephanie & Scott Knebel of Derby, Kansas, Jennifer & Steve Rose-Williams of Overland Park, Kansas, Two Sisters - Elaine & Harley Mohler of Halstead, Kansas, Jean Rose of Wichita, Kansas, Two Nephews, Two Nieces, One Grand Nephew and One Grand Niece. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 with Steve Payne presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church or Scott County EMT's % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday. The Rose family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
