Betty Jean Rich, age 83, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on May 15, 1924 in Emporia, Kansas the daughter of William E. and Agnes O'Neill Beitz. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Garden City since December of 1965 moving from Hill City, Kansas.
She was a member of the Community Congregational Church of Garden City, Kansas.
On November 1, 1943, she married Leonard F. Rich in Pittsburg, California. He survives.
Other Survivors Include: One Son, Phillip W. Rich of Garden City, Kansas; One Niece, Karen Drake of Rogers, Arkansas and One Nephew, Scott Beitz of Rogers, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Beitz.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Community Congregational Church in Garden City, Kansas with Rev. Mike Lake presiding.
There will be no calling times.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorials be given to the Community Congregational Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
