Chester A. Ratzlaff, age 69, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Friday, February 20, 2009. He was born on October 25, 1939 in Fredonia, Kansas, the son of Herman B. and Elsie Dirks Ratzlaff. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas and was a team manager for the Scott City Little League Baseball program in Scott City for over 9 years. On November 24, 1964 he married Freda A. Daffron in Duke, Oklahoma. She survives. Survivors Include his Wife - Freda A. Ratzlaff of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Steven & Shari Ratzlaff of Scott City, Kansas, One Grandson - Collin Ratzlaff of Scott City, Kansas, One Granddaughter - Clarissa Ratzlaff of Scott City, Kansas, Seven Brothers - Virgil Ratzlaff of Scott City, Kansas, Garry Ratzlaff of Branson, Missouri, Delbert Ratzlaff of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Leonard Ratzlaff of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Milford Ratzlaff of Denver, Colorado, Mike Ratzlaff of Russellville, Arkansas, Galen Ratzlaff of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sisters - Virginia Koehn of Montezuma, Kansas, Joyce Koehn of Garden City, Kansas, and Glenda Ryan of Springfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and Three Brothers â Melvin & Two Infants. Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials In Lieu of flowers may be given to the Chester Ratzlaff Memorial Fund in % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.
