Cecil James Phillips, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on June 1, 1915 in Healy, Kansas, the son of Chester "Chet" James and Amanda Wedekind Phillips. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1949, moving from McCracken, Kansas he was a chemist at Century Refinery in Scott County, Kansas and then a janitor at the Scott City Grade School. He was a Sargent in the US Army/Air Force in World War II. Memberships include: Pitch Card Club of Healy, Kansas On August 13, 1946 he married Mabel A. Ree in Pueblo, Colorado. She passed away on June 7, 1998 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors: Two Sons Duane & Brenda Phillips Taylor, MI George & Sheila Phillips Scott City, Kansas One Daughter Janice & Ken Heili Sidney, NE 12 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife - Mabel Phillips, One Daughter â Juanita Phillips, Two Grandsons â David Grund & Brandon Phillips and One Brother - Duane.
