Dear Louise, Skip, and all the Numrichs, I'm sorry I can't be with you on Thursday to say goodbye. Leona was a remarkable woman. We've lost our family matriarch, you've lost mother, grandma, and friend. I've lost someone who has been dear to me for as long as I can remember. I will always remember visits on Sunday, being with her in her kitchen, walking around the yard looking at the flowers, her cards for every birthday, and her consistent letters with news of Scott City, news of family and church, and always encouragement and love for me. I will miss her being in the world tremendously. Much love to everyone, Alice
