Kris, Your mom is probably rejoicing right now, no more pain, no more sorrow, only joy and peace. She has been working toward getting into heaven all along. What great times we had together as family and friends. You were always welcome at our house. I will miss your MOM as I know you will also. She has taught you well and left you a legacy that only you can inherit. Be strong, lean on the Lord and he will guide you through this traumatic time. Like mother like son.

Dear Chris and Family On behalf of the GCCC Dept of Public Safety staff, students and myself, we share in your loss. Cheryl was an incredible lady. She always spent the additional time to share a smile, a cheery thought, or just taking time to listen. Cheryl was part of our DPS family and the Fire Science, Criminal Justice and EMST students and staff hold a special place for Cheryl in our hearts. We will miss her standard response when asked 'how are you today'; 'I'm good and I'm Blessed.' With our thoughts and prayers. Linda

I was extremely saddened to hear about Cheryl's passing. I knew Cheryl while working at Garden City Community College. She was a kind, loving, deeply religious person who always had a smile and a hug. If you needed anything done, all you had to do was ask Cheryl. She took much pride in her work and the buildings she worked in showed that she cared. Cheryl will be missed deeply by all who knew her. My deepest sympathies for all. Kyra Fief formerly of the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building, GCCC.

I just don't know what to say but I will always cherish the times that us kids have spent growing up together and playing and working. Especially helping grandma and grandpa on the farm with harvest. Cheryl was a wonderful cousin and a wonderful sister in the lord. We had so many good times and talks. I will always remember her and know that she is with grandpa and grandma davis, Christine, and Auntie Cleo in heaven and our other relatives that have gone ahead of us. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten. She left behind her a legacy in all of us. NOt only you Chris but all of us. She has touched so many hearts and she has a Mansion in heaven with streets of gold going up to her doorstep. Well I am signing off cause there is not enough space for me to talk. Cheryl we all love you and will be watching Chris for you. your cousin.

Chris and all the family, I am so sorry for your loss. It is my loss too, as I considered Cheryl to be a dear friend. We had many great conversations, both together and via e-mail. Her love for the Lord was always an inspiration to me. Now we know she is having a really exciting time and that she wouldn't want us to mourn her. Even though we are so saddened by all of this, we know the reunion with her and all the others that have already been through the doorway to heaven, will happen very soon. For that we praise God, not mourning as the heathen do, who have no hope. My prayers are with you, even though I will not be able to attend the memorial service. Love always, Sondra Barnett
