Lloyd P. Miller, age 82, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on September 14, 1926 in Ava, Missouri, the son of Thomas Henry and Bina Magdelena Plumb Miller. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1957, he was a machinist for Century Refinery and a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #7773 of Scott City, Kansas.
On September 15, 1955 he married Esther Mae Lundstedt in Clayton, New Mexico. She passed away on May 24, 2001 in Wichita, Kansas.
Survivors include Two Sons - Galen Miller of Scott City, Kansas, Henry & Eljean Miller of Scott City, Kansas, Five Daughters - Claudine & Dean Williams of Haviland, Kansas, Charlotte & Michael Sprayberry of Spur, Texas, Carolyn & Marlin Murphy of Scott City, Kansas, Donna Melies of Scott City, Kansas, Bina & Kent Wishon of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Leroy Miller of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Creeda Brown of Noble, Missouri, Donna Gogue of Galatia, Illinois, One Brother In Law - Elmer Lundstedt of Ellis, Kansas, One Sister In Law - Ellen Nickel of Scott City, Kansas, Thirteen Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Two Brothers and Two Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at the Immanuel Southern Baptist in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Lloyd Miller Memorial Fund in Scott City, Kansas % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
