TRUMAN LEE McCASLIN, AGE 80. PASSED AWAY SUNDAY EVENING, MAY 6, 2007, AT HIS HOME IN COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO. TRUMAN WAS BORN DECEMBER 30, 1926 AT IANTHA, MISSOURI, THE SON OF MELVIN & OLIVE DAUGHERTY McCASLIN. HE WAS A RETIRED FARMER AND GRAIN ELEVATOR MANAGER AND HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO SINCE 1993 MOVING FROM DODGE CITY, KANSAS. HE HAD PREVIOUSLY LIVED IN COPELAND, KANSAS FROM 1965 UNTIL 1985 AND IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS FROM 1948 UNTIL 1965. TRUMAN WAS A WORLD WAR TWO VETERAN SERVING IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY. TRUMAN LOVED TO HUNT AND FISH. TRUMAN WAS ACTIVE IN- UNITED METHODIST CHURCH- COPELAND, KANSAS AMERICAN LEGION- " LIONS CLUB- " V.F.W.- DODGE CITY, KANSAS ANTHEM MASONIC LODGE- SCOTT CITY, KANSAS ON JUNE 15, 1949, TRUMAN MARRIED L. ELAINE McDONALD AT TRIBUNE, KANSAS. SHE SURVIVES AT THEIR HOME IN COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO. TRUMAN'S OTHER SURVIVORS INCLUDE- ONE DAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND TRUDY & RODNEY TIMM- TOPEKA, KANSAS THREE SONS- THERON McCASLIN- IDALIA, COLORADO THERYL McCASLIN- FLORISSANT, COLORADO TRENTON McCASLIN- EVANS. COLORADO ONE BROTHER- NEIL McCASLIN- LAMAR, MISSOURI THREE SISTERS- NADINE McWILLIAMS- RAYMORE, MISSOURI WANDA SUE HUTSON- SMITHVILLE, MISSOURI DENZIL DEVINE- LAMAR, MISSOURI THREE GRANDCHILDREN WILLIAM J. TIMM- LAS VEGAS, NEVADA DONELLA TIMM- AURORA, COLORADO DESIRAE McCASLIN- IDALIA, COLORADO AND NUMEROUS NEICES AND NEPHEWS. HE WAS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY TWO BROTHERS, LELAND EARL (BUD) McCASLIN, HERMAN McCASLIN AND ONE SISTER, FREDA WORMINGTON. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 P.M. ( M.D.T.) FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2007 AT THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS WITH THE REVEREND LES ELLIS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN GREELEY COUNTY CEMETERY IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS PROVIDED BY THE UNITED STATES ARMY HONORS GUARD FROM FORT RILEY, KANSAS. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM NOON TO 8:00 P.M. THURSDAY AT PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS. MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO THE PIKES PEAK HOSPICE IN CARE OF THE FUNERAL HOME.
