William L. Basham, age 82, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Morton County Hospital in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born on December 14, 1923 in Daisetta, Texas, the son of Jesse James and Daisy Wilson Basham. He was a resident of Garden City, Kansas since June of 2006 moving from Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran , Chief of Police and a City Superintendent of Daisetta, Texas.
Memberships include: Assembly of God Mt. Pleasant, Texas
On March 15, 1985 he married Bonnie Jean Jackson in Shepherdsville, KY. She survives.

Pleasant, Texas

He was preceded in death by his Parents, and One Brother â Byron Basham.
