Obituary of Paul Krause

Paul E. Krause, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on April 19, 1923 in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Frederick William and Emma Louise Bebermeyer Krause. A resident of Scott City, Scott County and Wichita County, Kansas since 1937 moving from Dickinson County, Kansas, he was a farmer. Paul requested that his body be donated to the KU Medical Center in Kansas City for research.
His memberships include the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas and The Kansas Wheat Association. Paul was also a past 4-H Leader, Sunday School Teacher, member of the church choir, and was a very active leader in the church including the men's prayer breakfast.
On June 7, 1952 he married Merilyn J. Keener in Norton, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors Include his Wife - Merilyn Krause of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Rick & Lori Krause of Modoc, Kansas, Two Daughters - Starla Krause of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Robin Krause of Minneapolis, Minnesota, One Grandson Bram Paul Krause of Edinburg, Virginia, and One Brother - Merle Krause of Plains, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Brother â Stan Krause and One Sister â Ruth Krause.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 with the Rev. Dennis Carter and Rev. John Martin presiding.
Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or Camp Lakeside c/o Price & Sons Funeral Home.
