Arthur A. Huseman, age 97, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on April 4, 1912 in Ellsworth County, Kansas, the son of William and Christianna Winkler Huseman. A resident of Scott County, Kansas since 1947 moving from Ellsworth County, Kansas, he was a family man, farmer, rancher and stockman.
He was a member of First Christian Church and the Scott County VIP Center both of Scott City. Arthur also served as a board member at the First Christian Church, Scott City Council, Scott County Hospital Board, School Board, Scott Coop Board and was a 4-H Leader.
On December 20, 1943 he married Catherine E. Janssen in Wichita, Kansas. She passed away on February 9, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas
Survivors include his one son - Bill Huseman of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, two daughters - Cheryl & Leon France of Scott City, Kansas and Joann & Jerry Riemann of Dighton, Kansas, three Grandsons - Dallas Martin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Clint France of Scott City, Kansas, Heath France of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Three Granddaughters - Kim Sorensen of Garden City, Kansas, Chanelle Stephens of Dighton, Kansas, Tracy France of Kansas City, Missouri and Nine Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 10 brothers and sisters, and one grandson â Justin Martin.
Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 with the Rev. Jeff Knighton presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church or Scott County VIP Center % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
