ORMAL JOY HUMBURG, AGE 96 YEARS, PASSED AWAY ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26, 2006 AT THE GREELEY COUNTY LONG TERM CARE UNIT IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS. ORMAL WAS BORN JULY 8, 1909 AT BRONAUGH, MISSOURI, THE DAUGHTER OF RAYMOND & MINNIE EVELYN CRUM McWILLIAMS. SHE RECEIVED HER TEACHING CERTIFICATE FROM COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY AND TAUGHT FOR 2 YEARS. SHE HAD BEEN A TRIBUNE RESIDENT SINCE 1984 MOVING FROM TOWNER, COLORADO.
ORMAL'S MEMBERSHIPS INCLUDE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF TRIBUNE, KANSAS, THE GREELEY COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY, TOWNER LADIES AIDE, TOWNER CERAMICS CLUB, AND SHE HAD BEEN A KIOWA COUNTY 4-H LEADER FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
ON JUNE 30, 1932 SHE MARRIED EDWIN RICHARD HUMBURG AT DENVER, COLORADO. HE PASSED AWAY ON AUGUST 11, 1983 AT TRIBUNE, KANSAS. ORMALS SURVIVORS INCLUDE ONE SON- E. RICHARD HUMBURG, JR.- MIDLAND, MICHIGAN THREE DAUGHTERS- RUTH SCHWERDFEGER- COOLIDGE, KANSAS JOAN HARDY- PENACOOK, NEW HAMPSHIRE KAREN NEMECHEK- TRIBUNE, KANSAS ONE BROTHER- WAYNE McWILLIAMS- ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO ONE SISTER- MARGUERITE DEVOR- MONTROSE, COLORADO A DAUGHTER- IN LAW BRENDA HUMBURG SMITH- HOLLY, COLORADO FOURTEEN GRANDCHILDREN, FIFTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN SHE WAS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON, CHARLES R. HUMBURG, THREE BROTHERS, VINCIL, WARREN AND CARL McWILLIAMS, THREE SISTERS, JANIA HOFMEISTER, EMER KONCILIA AND CELESTINE STROUP AND A SON-IN-LAW GENE SCHWERDFEGER.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M. (M.D.T.) MONDAY, MAY 1, 2006 AT THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS WITH THE REVEREND LES ELLIS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN TOWNER CEMETERY, TOWNER, COLORADO. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M. BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME IN TRIBUNE, KANSAS. MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO THE ORMAL HUMBURG SCHOLARSHIP FUND IN CARE OF THE FUNERAL HOME.
