Richard A. Gaschler, age 68, passed away at his home in Scott County, Kansas on Sunday, February 18, 2007. He was born on August 19, 1938 in Scott County, Kansas, the son of Paul & Pauline Gaschler. After graduating from Kansas State University in 1962, he moved to Sacramento, California and then in November of 1963 to Salem, Oregon. In 1964 he moved back to Scott County. He was a lifetime farmer and a Consulting Engineer. Early in his career he worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Dighton, Kansas, and also worked for Kellogg Construction building the cryogenics plant in Scott County. In the late 1960's he began his private practice and retired after 35 years as a Consulting Engineer. Memberships include: St. Mary's Catholic Church Marienthal, Kansas Kansas State Alumni National Society of Professional Engineers Bukovina Society NRA Knights of Columbus On August 6, 1960 he married Donna J. Wewer in Marienthal, Kansas. She survives. Survivors Include: One Son Richard Shane Gaschler Modoc, Kansas One Daughter Heidi Rosann Gaschler Wichita County, Kansas One Brother Bill Gaschler Garden City, Kansas One Sister Ruth White Scott City, Kansas Numerous Nieces & Nephews He was preceded in death by his Parents, Two Sons â Peter John Gaschler & Aaron Todd Gaschler, Three Brothers â John Gaschler, Albert Gaschler, and Jim Gaschler, and Three Sisters - Rose Bridgewater, Francis Myers and Anna Barbara Gaschler.
