Clyde James Garrison, age 81, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born November 13, 1924 @ Topeka, Kansas the son of James William & Evelyne Manka Garrison. A resident of Garden City since 1957, moving from Leoti, KS and formerly of Burns, KS, he was owner & operator of Garrison Trucking. He was a member of the Methodist Faith and a lifetime member of the VFW- Garden City. He was a World War II veteran serving as a U.S. Army Tank Operator.
On August 27, 1947, he married Cora Korbe at Marienthal, Kansas. She died November 25, 1997.
Survivors include: 1 Daughter, Clydeen Hobbs of Holcomb, Kansas; 1 Son, Gary Garrison of Garden City, Kansas; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by 4 Brothers and 1 Sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Mr. Von Hunn officiating.
Interment will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday at the Wichita County Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas
Friends may call from Noon-8pm Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.
Memorials may be given to the Friends of the Lee Richardson Zoo in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home
