RALPH VERNON FLETCHER, AGE 87, PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2006 AT WICHITA COUNTY HEALTH CENTER IN LEOTI, KANSAS. RALPH WAS BORN FEBRUARY 1, 1919 IN RURAL WICHITA COUNTY, KANSAS; THE SON OF GLENN HOWARD & HATTIE ELLEN WHITE FLETCHER. HE WAS A 1938 GRADUATE OF WICHITA COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AND WAS MANAGER OF WESTERN HARDWARE FROM 1945 UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 1984. HE WAS A WORLD WAR TWO U.S. ARMY VETERAN. RALPH'S MEMBERSHIPS INCLUDE PARKS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH- LEOTI, KANSAS V.F.W. POST #6752- " ANTHEM MASONIC LODGE- SCOTT CITY, KANSAS ON JANUARY 24, 1942 HE MARRIED AEILENE LOIS LUNZ AT MARIENTHAL, KANSAS. SHE DIED JUNE 31, 1969 AT SCOTT CITY, KANSAS. HE MARRIED MARIE BAUM KIEFER ON OCTOBER 21, 1972 IN WICHITA COUNTY, KANSAS. SHE SURVIVES. RALPH'S OTHER SURVIVORS INCLUDE- TWO DAUGHTERS- KAREN SPICOLA- PUEBLO, COLORADO CINDI TONER- LEOTI, KANSAS ONE STEP SON PAUL KIEFER- BERTHOUD, COLORADO TWO STEP DAUGHTERS RITA SMITH- LEOTI, KANSAS MARY LEE VAN NORDEN- GARDEN CITY, KANSAS ONE SISTER- GRACE WHITE- LEOTI, KANSAS EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN GINA MUNN- DENVER, COLORADO JOEL SPICOLA- " TIA BODKINS- OMAHA, NEBRASKA VINCE VAN NORDEN- GARDEN CITY, KANSAS REBECCA AUSTIN- STAFFORD, KANSAS REMINGTON SMITH- LEOTI, KANSAS AMY KIEFER- BERTHOUD, COLORADO DEVIN KIEFER- " FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AVERY MUNN- DENVER, COLORADO EMERSON MUNN- " STELLA SPICOLA- " BRYSON BODKINS- OMAHA, NEBRASKAFUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 P.M. BURIAL WILL BE IN LEOTI CEMETERY, LEOTI, KANSAS WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS PROVIDED BY THE FORT RILEY HONORS GUARD, FORT RILEY, KANSAS. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M. MONDAY AT PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME IN LEOTI, KANSAS. MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO THE LEOTI V.F.W. OR THE WICHITA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY IN CARE OF THE FUNERAL HOME.
