Charles Lynn Ferrell, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Fort Dodge Kansas State Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas. He was born on February 4, 1934 in Lakin, Kansas, the son of Elmer Monroe and Ann Cecelia Florentine Ferrell. A lifetime resident of Lakin, Kansas, he was an United States Air Force mechanic from 1953 to 1958.
Known by the name of Lynn, he was a jack of all trades. He was an electrician, truck driver, mechanic, and was self employed cleaning, sorting, and selling scrap iron. He enjoyed going to auctions. His work was his hobbies although he loved to play games like Domino's and Dice.
On August 4, 1957 he married Janet Alice Basye in Lamer, Colorado.
Survivors Include One Son - DeWayne & Julie Ferrell of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Rhonda & Jim Hubers of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Brother â James Ferrell Sr., and Two Sisters â Laurella Ferrell and Donna Whitley.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held at Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, Kansas at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Inurnment will be in the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Charles Lynn Ferrell Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation times.
