Obituary of Barbara Jo Landis
Leoti
Barbara Jo Landis, Age 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the Wichita County Long Term Care Center in Leoti, Kansas. She was born to James Robert & Mary Jo Faherty Byrd on April 21, 1934, in Denver, Colorado.
Barbara moved to Leoti in May 2011 from Longmont, Colorado. She was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Leoti, Kansas and lived her life in service to her family and as an occupational therapist. She volunteered as a Girl Scout and Brownie troop leader. For several years, she was the director for the Meals-on-Wheels program in Longmont, Colorado.
Survivors include, one son, Christopher & Tammy Landis of Leoti, Kansas, two daughters, Susan Herrel of Yoder, Colorado, Jennifer & Robert McMann of Sun City West, Arizona, one granddaughter, Shealene & Mark Downey of Fort Drum, New York, four grandsons, Sean Landis of Boulder, Colorado, Jeremy & Andrea Landis of Arvada, Colorado, Joel Landis of Leoti, Kansas, Anthony & Sara Landis of Willow Springs, North Carolina, and ten great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Steve Landis, and one sister, Beverly Grissom.
Memorial service will be on May 19, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at Abundant Life in Leoti, Kansas with Pastor Dustin Fritzmeier presiding.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the Wichita County Long Term Care Center in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.
