So true everyone. I remember when Merson was not in school yet she read me every word of her Roy Rogers and Dale Evans little golden book - - correctly.. I asked my aunt Wheedie ( her mother Claire) how she learned to read when she wasn't in school yet, as I was. My aunt told me the book had been read to her so often she had memorized it, which is almost as amazing as reading it at age 4.
Rest in peace dear cousin, you have earned it many times over. We love you and you will never be forgotten.

This is the Mershon I remember, the one with the pigtails. Mershon and Deandra were both adorable.

We had so much fun when we’d get together growing up. Mershon was loud, playful, creative, and always energetic! Our paths crossed many times throughout the years from college days and forward.
I pray for the peaceful fortitude my wonderful first cousin maintained throughout her entire life. With the early loss of both parents and her husband, Rick, she remained steadfast in her positive outlook, love of life, family, and friends.
Although she is now free from the confines of her disease and reveling with our Lord and the earthly ones she lost, my heart is sad.
She will be missed. God’s love and peace to her family.

Mershon was a kind and lovely person. She maintained a quick wit with a contagious laughter thru out life. She loved horses-I’m surprised she never owned one! She valued her friends and relatives. I always guiltily brought her cinnamon jolly ranchers whenever I visited, knowing they probably were the worst thing for fillings. She’d wink and promise to be careful. She will be missed by everyone who knew her!

I will always remember Mershon and her family as they were when we were kids. Love to all.

Angela, Amanda, other family members, very sorry. God the Fathers love surround all of you. She doesn't have too endure her disease any longer. I think she has a new body now. Christ Jesus was the first to ascend.
