I got to know Dannie about 10 years ago when the oil company I worked for, Shakespeare Oil Co., began leasing the Janzen farm and the surrounding area. Dannie loved to talk about finding oil and he would ask me to hop in his truck so he could show me how he could witch for oil. We would drive for miles and he would show me where thought we would find oil and where we wouldn’t. Fortunately our company found a considerable amount of oil on Dannie and the Janzen farm. He was ecstatic. Dannie was a good man and a good friend.
Danny will be missed. He was my best friend and the best man at Terri's and my wedding. When I got home from the Army he was the first person to welcome me and did we have fun. The stories i could tell. Best left in my memories. Rest in peace Danny old friend.

When I was growing up Dannie would take time out of what he was doing, at Bud's Vickers to show me how to fix a flat on a bicycle tire. Often he would flip me a quarter for a pop inside. He always taught me to "Pay it Forward" even before that phrase became popular as it is today. My prayers to the families and friends. Rest in Peace my friend.
