Ghita (Mickey) Vaughan Streeter passed away Sunday, November, 14, 2021 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS. Mickey was born on July 17, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA to Thomas William Lane, Sr. and Florrie Thomason Lane. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1955, she was a Antique Dealer. Mickey spent her time buying, selling and refinishing antiques, as well as refinishing 2 motels and a few private homes in Garden City.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas.
On December 5, 1954, Mickey was united in marriage, to William Howard Streeter Jr. in Bell Flower, CA. Early in their marriage, Mickey and W.H. moved to Garden City, KS in 1955 to settle down and raise their family. He passed away on January 21, 2014 in Garden City, Kansas.
Mickey's joys in life were her sons: Arnold Streeter, of Garden City, KS, and Albert (Sheila) Streeter, of Lexington, NE. Grandchildren: Krista Streeter, Joshua Streeter, along with her Great Grandchildren: Savannah, Journie and Jacob, all of Garden City, KS. All of whom will miss her very much. Also left to grieve Mickey's passing are her Sister-In-Laws, JoAnn Glasse and Marlene Richmeier, several nieces and nephews, along with her good friend, Kathy McGraw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H., her parents, brothers: Thomas Lane Jr., Bobby Lane, and Donny Lane. Sister, Marjorie Lane, Brothers-In-Law, Albert Streeter, Tad Glasse & Vern Richmeier, and Sister-in-Laws, Ruthella & Louis Wagner and Twila & Burt McKinley.
A family graveside service is being planned at a later date.
There will be no calling times.
