Bob and I have been friends since our sophomore year of high school. I have to say I felt like Bob was a brother. When Bob's Dad died I was sitting next to him in science when was summond to office to get the news. I really can't say that Bob and I had the same interests but we spent most of our free hours together doing what high school boys do. After graduation we took a trip to Rock-A-Way Beach, Missouri. We took 2 cases of Coors beer. We could buy 3.2 Beer in Kansas but not Missouri. Rock-a-Way Beach was a gathering place for breaking college students in the summer. We're nervous about the beer because we were underage in Missouri so we didn't let anyone see it. We finally ended up washing our hair in the beer thinking it might lighten up for a beachy summer look. We realized later that we did not have any thing to be afraid and always shared a laugh. I will miss laughing and sharing stories with my best friend. God bless.

Mrs. Waters and Family,
Our son Alan is a young broker at Schwieterman. When he was new at the company, he would often have a story about Bob which always ended with bits of both wisdom and laughter. He was a good mentor and friend to Alan. He will take those bits of wisdom and laughter forward. Lise and I had the pleasure of meeting Bob on a trip to Garden City and a tour of the office and meeting staff. I understand and share Alan's fondness for Bob. May he rest peacefully. I moved to Garden City a year ago to work with Schwieterman. Bob and I had a good relationship as our offices were right next to each other. I always had questions for Bob about the business and he was always so willing to help. Bob was always positive and willing to give tips on trading anything, but especially the hogs. He was a gentleman and a friend. Bob will be missed by many.

My fondest memory of Bob was from when I was a young girl. I used to visit the farm on summer break from school and the family happen to be sitting out on the back deck. I was maybe 8 or 9 at the time and Bob and I were sitting side by side on the edge of the deck with our legs hanging off. I was rocking side to side as I was kind of bored hanging with the adults. I rocked to one side and let out a loud fart. He laughed and said maybe next time you do that, you could lean the other way. You see, I had rocked away from him and my bottom was pointing in his direction when I farted. We both laughed so hard over that incident and I'll never forget it.
You will be greatly missed Uncle Bob!
