Clara J. Elliott, age 80, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on January 4, 1927 in Manhattan, Kansas the daughter of John Andrew and Lena Walter Reichenborn. A resident of Garden City since 1970 moving from Raton, New Mexico, she had been a bank teller in Raton and was a secretary for Garst & Thomas Seed Company in Garden City. Her interests included golfing, bowling, playing bridge & pinnocle and oil painting.
On March 5, 1948, she married Norman Elliott At Las Vegas, New Mexico. He survives.
Other Survivors Include: Two Sons Grant A. (Deb) Elliott of La Junta, Colorado Gary A. (Gayla) Elliott of Garden City, Kansas One Daughter Norma Jo (Kevin) Bascue of Garden City, Kansas One Niece Donna Andrews of Garden City, Kansas Nine Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter & Raymond Reichenborn, Three Sisters, Berniece West, Marie Delventhal & Maggie Craig and a Great Grandson, Jeron McGrew.
Funeral Services will be held at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas @ 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Friends may call from Noon-8:00pm Sunday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
The family requests memorial be given to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
