Obituary of Roy Torres Jr.
Roy Torres Jr, 47, of Leoti, KS died Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, KS.
He was born September 21, 1973, in Tribune, KS the son of Roy Torres Sr. and Theresa (Hernandez) Torres. He attended Wichita County High School with the class of 1993.
Roy worked at Tyson Fresh Foods, Holcomb, KS as a maintenance man. He was a full-time auto mechanic and earlier in life Roy worked for American Welding and would weld grain bins as a master welder.
He is survived by three sons, Sonnie Torres of Garden City, KS, Lennox Torres of Hugoton, KS, and Jaxon Torres of Hugoton, KS; a sister, Monica Sullivan of Dumas, TX; a brother, Abel Torres of Ellsworth, KS; and his parents, Theresa Torres and Roy, Sr. Torres of Leoti, KS.
A funeral mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Leoti, KS. Interment will follow at Leoti Cemetery. A vigil with rosary will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Leoti, KS.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
