Obituary of Steve Jacobus, Sr.
Lakin/Tribune, Kansas
Steve James Jacobus, Sr., age 79, died on April 29, 2021 at the Kearny County Hospital. He was born November 4, 1941 in Sedan, Kansas, the son of Charles Marion and Emma “Ines” Jacobus.
He was a member of the Tribune Community until his retirement after 36 years.
On January 7, 1961 he married Louise May Russell in Scott City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2000 in Garden City, Kansas.

One Son Daniel (Jody) Jacobus of Lakin, Kansas
Six Grandchildren Amanda (Rhett) Morris of Yuma, Coloardo
Deeanna Jacobus of Lamar, Colorado
David Jacobus of Columbus, Nebraska
Rebekah (Ben) Samp of Lincoln, Nebraska
Hunter Morrison of La Junta, Colorado
Jessica Lee of Gresham, Oregon
One Sister-in-law Neva Jacobus of Scott City, Kansas
11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Steven Jacobus, Jr.; daughter, Jackie Ann Atkinson; one grandson, Wayne Schlitter; one brother, Roy Jacobus.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 am MST at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Tribune, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10-8 on Monday, May 3, 2021at the funeral home in Tribune.
Private family interment will be held at a later date.
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to the Steven Jacobus, Sr. Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
