Obituary of Jose Luis Aguilar Chavez

Jose Luis Aguilar Chavez, age 56, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on January 29, 1965, in Tecalitlán, Mexico, the son of Ramon and Maria Luisa Chavez Aguilar. Jose was a resident of Scott City since 2004 having moved here from Los Angeles, California. Jose was a yard maintenance technician.

Jose was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

On June 26, 2009, Jose Married Sandra T. Aguilar. She survives.

Survivors include Jose’s Children; daughter, Jayleen N. Aguilar of Scott City, Kansas, sons, German Aguilar of Garden City, Kansas, Jonathan Aguilar of Garden City, Kansas, Omar Aguilar of Mexico, Pedro Aguilar of Mexico, Jesse Hernandez of Colby, Kansas, daughter, Sandra Hernandez of Atlanta, Georgia, two brothers, Joel Aguilar of Garden City, Kansas, Armando Aguilar of Mexico, six sisters - Gloria Aguilar of Mexico, Consuelo Aguilar of Washington, Reyna Aguilar of Nevada, Elisa Aguilar of Mexico, Nereyda Aguilar of Mexico, Aida Aguilar of California, and seven Grandchildren.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas with Father Augustine Owusu presiding.  Services will be streamed live on Facebook at Price and Sons Funeral Home page (www.facebook.com/priceandsons) starting at 1:55 PM.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
