I am sorry to hear of Ron's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I always enjoyed visiting with Ron when he attended church at Immanuel So. Baptist Church in Scott City before he moved to Wallace. Such a kind, gentle and soft-spoken man, with a great smile and a sparkle in his eyes. He will be remembered fondly.
God Bless you all,
Kendra Kendrick
My Dad, Dwayne Simon, formerly of Great Bend, now residing in Hoxie, KS was a good friend of Mr. Murphy. He told me today that he lost a great friend and truckin' buddy. He is 86 and had known him many years. Thank you for calling to tell him of your Dad's passing. It especially means so much to hear from his family when you are elderly and in failing health yourself. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are from Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, Studley/Hoxie which has had ties to the First Baptist in Scott for many years. May the Lord be very close to each of you.
Melanie, it sure is a small world! This is Camille Murphy, KB's wife. I have heard about Cowboy Dwayne, even talked to him on the phone several times over the years. Ron lived across the drive from us for the last 5 years. I just learned by your comment how small of a world it really is and thought you would like to know. I am Carmen Simon's youngest sister.
