The first time I remember meeting Great Uncle Al and Great Aunt Verna, I was in Grams bathrobe sitting on the couch with them at Grams and Grandpa Harold's house. She will always hold a special place in my heart. My prayers are with all of Great Aunt Verna's family.
Memories are what we have left. We spent time with family in Kansas & South Dakota as well as Nebraska as children and I'm thankful to all of our parents for providing those memories. Talking to Bob earlier this week, it was said that the last of that generation is gone and we as cousins are now that generation. Sending heartfelt sympathy to Aunt Verna's family as they say goodbye to their mother and grandmother.
When Uncle Al, Aunt Verna, Nancy, Bill and Bob still lived in Kansas, we were able to see them and get together with them quite often!! I always enjoyed Aunt Verna's beautiful smile and her happiness!! She was always happy and loved to get together with her siblings by marriage and their families!! My sister and I were able to stay a couple of days with them on their farm in the summers. I'm so thankful for the memories!! Much love and prayers for the family for peace and comfort at this time!!
We didn't get to spend a lot of time together growing up, but visiting the Kansas family, Uncle Alvin and Aunt Verna, Nancy, Billy, and Bobby, was always special, whether we went to KS or were all at the family gatherings in Nebraska. Aunt Verna was always cheerful and good company. Condolences to the family.
