Obituary of Verlene F. Stoppel

Verlene F. Stoppel, age 89, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at her home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on September 12. 1931 in Okeene, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter and Lydia Karbs Dobrinski. Verlene was a lifetime resident of Scott City Kansas and she was a farmer and homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas. On September 14, 1950 she married Duane A. Stoppel in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on September 26, 2009 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include Two Sons - Mike & Becky Stoppel of Holcomb, Kansas, Dwight & Sheree Stoppel of Olathe, Kansas, One Sister - Virginia Ramsey of Claremore, Oklahoma, Five Grandsons - Chris & Dawn Stoppel of San Antonio, Texas, Kelly & Kendra Stoppel of Scott City, Kansas, Blake Stoppel of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kaleb & Allison Stoppel of Olathe, Kansas, Nick Stoppel of Kansas City, Kansas, Eight Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and One Son – Jeff Stoppel, One Brother - Roger Dobrinski and Two Sisters - Verna Ramsey and Anette Sneath. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Services will be live-streamed at: www.facebook.com/priceandsons Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
