I always enjoyed visiting Eva at the Kessler homestead when my mother Josephine Kessler Sramek was alive and in the years also after she passed. Eva was always patient with me asking so many questions about Mama and her parents and siblings when they were all younger. We always had a good time visiting and laughing, and she always shared something from the canning cellar which was near and dear to my heart since I had heard so many stories from Mama about that cellar when she was growing up. Eva was also my sponsor for my Confirmation at St. Joseph's Chuch in Scott City. Rest in peace cousin Eva.
