Michael D. Donovan, age 52, passed away at the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House at Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson, Texas on Monday, December 11, 2006. He was born on November 21, 1954 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, the son of Carl and Joyce Laudick Donovan. He was a graduate of Dighton High School where he competed in cross-country events and held a school record for many years. Mike served in the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Ft. Dix, and Germany. He was of the catholic faith.
On September 19, 1998 he married Lisa Laird in Las Vegas, Nevada. Residents of Fort Worth, Texas, he and his wife spent their time traveling across the country as team truck drivers, and shared many wonderful memories of the places they visited and sites they saw from their windshield.
Mike never met a stranger and developed many long-lasting friendships throughout his life. Family was very important to Mike, and he will be deeply missed. He loved family activities and spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed computer games, collecting and watching movies, books in any form, and always had time to visit and share stories.
