Obituary of Isabel L. Finch

Garden City, Kansas Isabel L. Finch, age 79, died on February 8, 2020 at the Carr House in Derby, Kansas. She was born on August 29, 1940 in Logan County, Kansas, the daughter of Roy L. Bartell & Lena L. (Hinton) Bartell. She spent her childhood years in the Logan County area. Isabel spent time with a special family in the Russell Springs Area, Abe & Ruby Dirks and their daughter Bonnie. On March 1, 1956 she married Chancy Orman Finch in Russell Springs, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2007 in Garden City. Isabel worked for USD 457 until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and being active in the First Christian Church, and spending time with her family. Survivors include: Two Daughters Juanita L. (Ricky) Brammer of Muskogee, Oklahoma Bonnie (Steve) Fry of Mulvane, Kansas One Brother Virgil Bartell of Salina, Kansas Two Sisters Delmonta Tholen of Baker Oregon Margaret (Dale) Morse of New Mexico Sister in Law Marlee (Harold) Bray of Chapman, Kansas Special Family Members Bonnie (Ray) Ratzlaff of Moundridge, Kansas Oren Dirks of Russell Springs, Kansas six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 10 am - 8 pm at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the First Christian Church at 10 am. Interment will be at the Gove County Cemetery in Gove County, Kansas on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the First Christian Church or Shiners Hospital in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
