Obituary of Delbert E. Jones
Delbert E. Jones, age 91, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on November 25, 1927 in Bigelow, Kansas, the son of Earl Oliver and Carrie Arbutis Parmentier Jones. He was a resident of Frankfort, Kansas, before moving to California and then in 1948 he moved to Scott City, Kansas. He was a Contractor, City Building Inspector and a Farmer.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge #284 and the Scott City Shrine Club all in Scott City, Kansas and a Eagles Lodge Member.
On December 26, 1948 he married Josephine Marie Beach in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors include Wife - Josephine Jones of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Lila Burnett of Scott City, Kansas, One Granddaughter - Jolene Savolt of Lawrence, Kansas, Two Brothers - Victor Jones of Waterville, Kansas, Kenneth Jones of Frankfort, Kansas, One Sister - Leona Nelson of Greeley, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Two Sisters and One Brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Steve Payne presiding.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or Friends of Scott City Shriners in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
