Obituary of Mark Dierks

Mark Duane Dierks, age 55, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. He was born October 7, 1951 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Clair and Iona Mae Tatman Dierks. In the early 1980's he moved to Garden City from Hays and then to Leoti in March of 2005. He had been employed with Mosaic of Garden City.
He attended the Catholic Church in Hays, Kansas and then the Methodist Church when he lived in Garden City and competed in Special Olympics.
Survivors include: Mother Iona Mae Dierks of Leoti, Kansas One Brother Harold Dierks of Brighton, Colorado Two Sisters Jana Simon of Marienthal, Kansas Ruth Ritter of Leoti, Kansas Two Nieces, Four Nephews, One Great Niece and Two Great Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:30am at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Rev. Dick Odum presiding.
Interment will be in the Wichita County Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10:00am until 8:00pm at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
The family requests memorials be given to the Wichita County Long Term Care Center or to the Special Olympics both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
