You were always good to me, looking out for me starting way back when I was in high school and then later when I moved back to Scott. You were a good friend to my sister Kat and my daughter Rhiannon. Bless you Doris!

I am so sorry to hear of Doris’s passing. I just found out today – she was a true lady and advocate for dog rescue. She was also a good friend.

Miss Doris was one of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing since moving to Scott City. She was so welcoming and dear to know. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this time.

My heart and prayers go out to each and everyone of you. May God be with you all during this very difficult time. I pray that each day gives you more comfort than the day before, knowing that your Mom is walking with Jesus and that she is whole healthy and happy and that because of her faith and your faith, there will be a time that you all will be together again. For this we can be certain. Remembering you all in my thoughts and prayers.

We have joy and a broken heart at the same time. Our sister, Doris, is finally pain free, healthy and reunited with her family and friends who have gone on before her. And...now she is waiting for us. What a beautiful person she was! Fun, Loving, Tough, and Loyal. Her influence raised two sons who love and serve the Lord...the best legacy of all. Rest in Peace Doris!

Doris will be greatly missed! I enjoyed getting to know her while working at the courthouse. She was always full of life and made me laugh! She was also my friend outside of work. Lots of great memories were had by all of us courthouse ladies and the gatherings we shared will always be remembered as one of a kind! I’m glad she’s no longer in pain and can be with Jesus.

You are finally home Doris. I can only imagine. We were such a great team at work, friends and dog rescue, you were so good to me.. I will miss our talks and our laughing, I see where your boys got their humor from. You were always like a mother to me and my kids, even tho you always said you weren't old enough to be my mother.... "sisters" I prayed that Monday when I came to work you would be sitting at your desk and this was all a bad dream. All that being said is selfish on my part and I am happy you are up singing with the angels and celebrating with your loved ones in heaven, whole and in peace. I will see you again my dear friend.
